Role Summary:
- The Warehouse Lead will assist in coordinating all daily warehouse activities. This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and communicating job expectations in order to safely provide quality, accurate, and cost effective distribution to all 7-Eleven stores.
Pay $23.60hr
Essential Competencies of the Role:

- Moving / Loading / Unloading Trucks
- Responsible for loading / unloading trucks per Best Practices
- Unload product from trucks, staging it for picking.
- Take the temperatures of all inbound products, record all temperatures, document all product that is out of spec and report
- Acts as a yard jockey where applicable. Help to move trucks around yard, into loading docks, performs safety checks, secure trucks, and chocks wheels.
- Material Handling (Picking)
- Responsible for accurately and properly picking/putting product in trays.
- Breakdown pallets and boxes as needed
- Accurately place route / stop tags on trays to be loaded into trucks
- Must meet and maintain required productivity per hour
- Responsible for examining shipment contents by comparing with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Must be able to practice good team work and effectively communicate with CDC customers and employees.
- Responsible for date coding and pricing of products
- Forklift and Pallet Jack Use (certified individuals only)
- Ensure that the forklift is in good working order and can be operated safely
- Move product throughout the warehouse for storage, staging and loading
- Leadership
- Oversee and assist in daily warehouse operations including but not limited to vendor receiving, staging, and ensure proper pre-sorting of product on inbound vendor trucks
- Be responsible for and follow safety and health regulations by participating in and leading safety meetings, reporting hazardous conditions, and performing job according to Best Practices
- Assist in training and coaching all evening warehouse employees following training guidelines and Best Practices
- Responsible for timeliness and accurate daily reporting to Warehouse Supervisor
- Be knowledgeable with all positions and perform the duties when needed
- . Safety
- Cooperate with all aspects of the E.A. Sween Company Safety program and polices.
- Be responsible for, and follow safety and health regulations. Participate in safety meetings, report hazardous conditions, and perform your job according to Best Practices.
- Safety and Food Quality Compliance
- Complete required safety training on monthly and/or quarterly basis
- Use all equipment necessary for completion of role in a safe and effective manner
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best Practices; work environment must be kept clean
- Ensure food temperature compliance, by checking temperatures as required by standard work, and immediately notifying leadership of issues
- Successfully complete the mandatory E. A. Sween Quarterly Safety Training sessions for the
purpose of complying with both OSHA regulations and EA Sween policy
- Complete HAACP training as necessary
- Continuous Improvement
- Control and watch for material waste; look for ways to optimize processes
- Notify maintenance immediately if problems arise with equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Good understanding of basic math skills.
- Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check
- Must be able to be on call 24/7, work nights, weekends, holidays and extra hours as needed to support the 24/7 business operation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English
Preferred Qualification (if Applicable):
- Previous experience in distribution and picking systems
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Pallet Jack/Forklift Certification
- Previous Leadership Experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to push/pull 250 lbs
- Ability to operate a 2 – 4-wheel handcart.
- Step safely in/out and operate company route truck per company standard practices and DOT regulations.
- Bend, turn, twist, step up, lift overhead, push, and pull.
- Must be able to perform kneeling, squatting, turning, reaching over shoulder height, waist level and from floor.
- Work in a widely varying temperature environment indoors and outdoors, including all weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work all hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be highly motivated and willing to work in a fast pace environment
